The Kansas City Chapter of Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA Kansas City), is launching its second “comprehensive” Da’wah campaign to disseminate the message of Islam to our neighbors in the Kansas City area. We have seen a lot of direct and indirect references to Islam in the media that not only distorted the image of Islam but also spread hatred towards Islam and Muslims. Hence, there is a tremendous need to convey the real image of Islam to our fellow community members.
Allah (swt) says in the Qur’an, “And from among you there must be a party who invite people to all that is good and enjoin the doing of all that is right and forbid the doing of all that is wrong. It is they who will attain true success” (Surah Ala Imran:104) Insha Allah, as part of this campaign, we are going to have Billboards praising the name of Allah (swt) at two locations:

• I-435 and Birmingham Road: This billboard will reach the southbound traffic on I-35 approaching the main arteries of the city. Traffic in this area would also include people attending Worlds of Fun and Oceans of fun. This billboard will be seen by an approximate 71,000 people every day.
• I-435 (NO 24 Highway): This billboard serve the outbound traffic from the Truman Sports Complex and also the traffic feeding off the I-70 intersection. This billboard will be seen by an approximate 55,000 people every day.

We have heard enough of the stereotypes and misconceptions about Islam and it's now time to convey the true and positive message about Islam and Muslims.
